Northshore has after public announcement won the contract for management of the polar research vessel, RV Lance. The vessel is owned by the government by The Norwegian Polar Institute and has the northern Barents Sea and the waters around Svalbard as main area of operation.
Sebastian Ljungdahl, 1st engineer at RV Lance, ran half marathon for Northshore Crew at the very respectable time 1:13:36. It held to second place in his class and third place total for this distance.
Our research vessel RV Lance is now on an expedition north west of Svalbard for INTPART (International Partnerships for Excellent Education and Research).

Following a public tender, Northshore has signed a contract with UiT, The Arctic University of Norway for the operation of the research vessel Helmer Hanssen.
The Nansen Legacy is a novel and holistic Arctic research project that will provide integrated scientific knowledge on the rapidly changing marine climate and ecosystem. A new knowledge base is required to facilitate a sustainable management of the northern Barents Sea and adjacent Arctic Basin through the 21st century.
