The research vessel Helmer Hanssen southbound in Flåværleia, heading for Stad.

The ship operates largely throughout the year in Northern Norway, the Barents Sea, East Greenland, and the waters around Spitsbergen. In other words, a rare trip southwards, to an oil spill rehearsal exercise in the North Sea.
