Certification of the RV Helmer Hanssen

Despite the fact that state vessels are exempt from demands of certification the ship’s owner, UiT – The Arctic University of Norway, wanted the RV Helmer Hanssen to be certified according to the ISM code.

The RV Helmer Hanssen was certified by DNV GL according to the ISM code on the 12th of April 2016, with a good result. Northshore have built a well functioning operations management system, adjusted to the ship’s operations and according to the demands of the code.

The Crew are very happy with the process towards certification and are happy that this is now in order. The Ship’s owner give credit to the crew and to Northshore for a successful certification.
